The Functional Expert is the primary contact for local key users of used systems and for any related issues arising from the Indirects buying process. The Functional Expert role includes providing operational support, sharing knowledge, training, issue resolution and CIP identification. In addition, the role is responsible for project and change management support to the business for systems upgrades and provide roll out consultancy to new sites.

Key responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot P2P process and systems issues to ensure Commercial and other functions involved in P2P can operate effectively.
  • Ensure proper quality of MM master data relevant to Commercial scope.
  • Share P2P process and systems knowledge ensure training opportunities.
  • Support knowledge management of the P2P process and systems to ensure effective and efficient use of existing best practice.
  • Provide P2P process and systems training for Commercial and Business Segments to drive optimum knowledge transfer and global standardization.
  • Support and organize major cross-functional system upgrades with testing to ensure best practice is constantly rolled out.
  • Provide initial Atlas roll out consultancy to new sites on P2P to ensure optimum business take up.
  • Partner with Project Managers in projects with Commercial touch points.

Candidate requirements:
  • Degree in Business Administration or equivalent work experience.
  • Certification in Effective business Change/Business Process Management including process mapping, six sigma etc (is preferred).
  • Broad based business experience with at least 3 years’ experience of Commercial operational and transactional roles.
  • Strong customer orientation and collaboration skills across multiple functions. Should have a proven track record of delivering results in complex global environments.
  • IT savvy with a keen interest in leveraging IT functionality to drive standardization/ add business value.
  • Proven stakeholder management and interpersonal skills. Able to convince, influence and motivate at all levels within the business in order to achieve objectives.
  • Strong project management, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good understanding of Commercial (P2P and data) processes.
